About Us

About JMBT:

JMBT is a Public Charitable Trust (administered by Blind People’s Association) working for the training and rehabilitation of persons with mental retardation and multiple disabilities science last 25 years. They provide training in daily living and vocational skills, socialization, academics etc., to around 50-60 persons at their campus in Usmanpura. During the FY2018-19, GTPPL supported JMBT’s activities by contributing Rs.5 lac under its CSR initiative.



Unfolding of Event:

At the event following were present:

  • Shri Piyushbhai Desai (as Chief Guest), Shri Parasbhai Desai, and other staff members of GTPPL.
  • Ms. Mira Shah (Vice President), Ms. Vimalben, Ms. Deepali (Secretary), Ms. Sangita (Co-ordinator) and other volunteers/staff members of Dr. Jeet Mehta Balshala Trust
  • Shri Bhushan Punani, Ms. Nandini Raval, Mr. JT Panchal and others staff members of BPA.
  • Mr. Rakesh of AMC.



  • Shri Piyushbhai and other accompanying guests visited and were introduced to the Day Care Centre. Shri Piyushbhai appreciated the Centre’s activities.
  • Shri Piyushbhai formally unveiled the Name-Plate depicting the Wagh Bakri’s financial support to the Trust.
  • Shri Piyushbhai & Shri Parasbhai were welcomed by Ms. Mira Shah on dais along with BPA team members.
  • Ms. Mira Shah shared the journey, challenges and history of the Trust till its existing state of affairs.
  • Differently abled persons together sang prayer song.


Address to audience:

  • Shri Bhushan Punani took all to the glimpses of JMBT and its affiliation with BPA and various activities being carried out by them. He importantly apprised about the handicraft work being carried out at the Centre by specially abled people; and the contribution of “INTAS” & “NID” for the same by sourcing handcraft items prepared by specially abled people.
  • Ms. Nandini Raval of BPA also explained the activities of JMBT and acknowledged and appreciated the valuable contributions of Shri Piyushbhai Desai and Wagh Bakri Tea Group to JMBT.
  • Shri Parasbhai also greeted dignitaries and invitees present at the event and expressed gratitude for having an opportunity to associate with such a unique cause. He appreciated the noble work and appealed the differently abled students to take maximum benefits of the activities of Trust.
  • Shri Piyushbhai also addressed and greeted the gathering with the tale of his experiences with various NGOs; and particularly, appreciated the contributions made by other Donees to JMBT.
  • At last, Mr. Mrunal Patel, a specially abled person (associated with the JMBT science last 10 years) shared his achievements in India as well as that of Ms. Ripal Patel (Divyang) in Australia.
